Franklin County For Palestine presentes a five part film series from August 11 - September 29 at various locations throughout Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. Two of these films are shown at The Montgomery Center for the Arts, August 11 and September 22.
August 11
The Wanted 18
18 cows, the "wanted 18", are pursued by the Israeli occupation army near Bethlehem. The military governor has declared the cows a "threat to the national security of the state of Israel" because the Palestinian collective farm is producing milk for the community so they do not have to buy milk from Israeli companies. The dairy, forced to go underground, continues to produce "Intifada milk," outsmarting the authorities.
The film combines documentary interviews with those involved in the events, archival footage, drawings, black-and-white stop-motion animation as well as re-enactments, and was co-directed by Canadian filmmaker Paul /Cowan and Palestinian visual artist and…
